Responsibilities include; Deliver sustainable, profitable growth by minimising risks, maximising opportunities and avoiding disputes. Assist the commercial team with both commercial and contractual aspects of a project as required. Further develop your knowledge, skills and capability. Key requirements; General • Perform commercial functions as directed by the Commercial Manager or MQS/ Senior QS/QS. • Ensure compliance with internal governance. • Understanding of working within defined budgets. • Has awareness of cost or benefit applicable to tasks performed. • Assist the work winning team where necessary. Cost Management • In conjunction with line manager prepare accurate and prudent cost/value analysis. • Assist line manager with accurate budget preparation. • Site measurement. • Be an integral part of the site team to understand more clearly ways to reduce and manage costs. • Keep and maintain good quality and accurate records securely and in line with company procedures. • Maintenance of cost information. Value Management • Assist with developing robust and consistent change control process to ensure that appropriate contract price adjustments are identified. • In conjunction with line manager prepare accurate pricing and rating of variations. • In conjunction with line manager prepare interim and final account agreement of subcontracts. • Preparation of interim and final account measurement. • Preparation and agreement of any sundry accounts. Essential experience Previous experience working with NEC 3 or 4.
