YOUR NEW ROLE

Our client is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Bolton, working on new build design & build housing projects. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their commercial skills while gaining hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle. Working closely with senior commercial staff, you’ll be involved in cost management, procurement, and contract administration on exciting housing developments.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Supporting senior surveyors in the financial and commercial management of new build housing projects.
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets, cost plans, and valuations.
• Supporting the procurement process, including tender preparation and subcontractor appointment.
• Monitoring project costs and progress to ensure delivery within budget.
• Assisting with payment applications, variations, and final account preparation.
• Liaising with site teams and subcontractors to ensure accurate reporting and cost control.
• Gaining exposure to contract administration, particularly JCT contracts.
• Maintaining accurate records and assisting with monthly reporting.
