JOB INTRODUCTION

Are you an experienced and dynamic Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for your next position?
We are currently looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the team within our South East Pave project of works. Within this role you will be responsible for the commercial management of individual construction projects, ranging in complexity and value.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Senior Area Quantity Surveyor, duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor will include:

• Preparing and agreeing interim valuations and final accounts with clients and subcontractors
• Recording, monitoring, and reviewing the financial performance of contracts
• Managing financial accounts
• Reporting project performance internally (senior managers) and externally (clients)
• Securing payments from clients within the specified contract terms
• Subcontract procurement and management of subcontractor accounts
• Pre-contract pricing and agreement of project costs

Suitable candidates for the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor will also possess:

• Demonstrable interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Confident numeracy and analytical ability
• Drive and ambition to succeed
• Confidence to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Strong organisational ability
• Strong ability to build successful relationships
• Confident IT skills specifically Excel, databases and the ability to adapt to bespoke software package
