As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in managing costs for infrastructure maintenance projects, ensuring financial efficiency and contractual compliance. Prepare and analyze cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment Conduct on-site measurements and quantity take-offs to verify project progress and costs Manage change control processes, including additional works notifications and purchase orders Assist in the preparation and submission of subcontractor payment certificates Collaborate with the finance team on internal and external forecasting and accruals Maintain a database of accredited subcontractors and oversee the procurement strategy Manage green claim income, liaising with legal representatives and loss adjusters when necessary Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and internal policies related to commercial processes Prepare detailed reports on project costs, variances, and financial performance Support the Commercial Manager in achieving commercially driven objectives and monitoring key performance indicators Promote continuous improvement within the organization and implement effective corrective and preventive measures Advise colleagues from other departments on commercial issues relevant to their work Evaluate and control key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure project efficiency Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity Minimum of HND in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or equivalent MRICS, MCInstCES status or equivalent is highly desirable PRINCE2 Accreditation is a plus Proven experience in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure projects Strong knowledge of the main forms of contract, sub-contracts, and procurement options Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, CCS) Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail Experience in implementing commercial management functions, processes, and procedures Familiarity with risk management processes and bidding procedures Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting Business Line: Consulting and Operations Type of contract: Permanent contract Service Line: OnM Operations Region: Middle East and South Asia Job Family: Contract Management Profession: Quantity Surveyor I
