REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or related field.
  • Experience: 0–2 years in QS/commercial roles (internships accepted). Fresh grads welcome.
  • TECHNICAL:Strong MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups), Word, and basic PowerPoint.Advantage if familiar with CostX/Cubicost/Bluebeam Revu/AutoCAD or similar.Able to read technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of tender processes, BQ, progress claims, variations, and standard forms of contract (e.g., SIA/PSSCOC).
  • Soft Skills: Meticulous, numeric accuracy, good communication, time management, and a proactive learning attitude.
  • Other: Able to attend site when needed. [Class 3 license an advantage but not required.]

Responsibilities
  • Measurements & Take-Offs: Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specs; prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ/BoQ) and schedules.
  • Tender & Procurement Support: Source and evaluate supplier/sub-con quotes, prepare comparison sheets, and issue LOIs/POs under guidance.
  • Cost Control: Assist with cost plans, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Progress Claims & Payments: Prepare monthly progress claims, variations, and final accounts; compile supporting documentation for payment certifications.
  • Variations & Change Management: Track site instructions/VOs, maintain change registers, and assemble substantiation.
  • Contract Administration: Support compliance with contract conditions (e.g., SIA/PSSCOC), maintain correspondence, and manage records.
  • Subcontractor Management: Coordinate measurement, verify progress, and assist in evaluating payment applications.
  • Site Coordination: Conduct occasional site visits for measurement, verification, and progress photo records.
  • Documentation: Keep neat, audit-ready files (drawings revisions, RFI logs, material submission logs).
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Work with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve quantity/cost issues promptly.
  • HSE & Compliance: Observe company procedures and regulatory requirements in documentation and site practices.
