  JOB SUMMARY The Receiving Assistant Lead supports the Receiving Lead in the daily operations of the receiving department. This role helps ensure the accurate and efficient receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming electronic devices and components. While the Assistant Lead does not supervise staff, they provide operational support, assist with training, uphold quality standards, and act as a resource to Receiving Associates. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OPERATIONAL SUPPORT * Assist the Receiving Lead with daily workflow coordination to ensure efficient department operations. * Support Receiving Associates by answering questions, providing task clarification, and demonstrating processes. * Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area in accordance with company policies and safety regulations. QUALITY CONTROL ASSISTANCE * Inspect incoming shipments to verify item condition and accuracy against purchase orders and packing lists. * Help identify device issues, defects, or discrepancies and report them promptly to the Receiving Lead. * Uphold quality standards following guidelines established by the Receiving Lead. INVENTORY & DOCUMENTATION SUPPORT * Record receipt of shipments in the warehouse management system with accuracy. * Assist with cycle counts, PO tracking, and inventory discrepancy resolutions. * Maintain accurate and organized documentation of incoming shipments. PROCESS IMPROVEMENT PARTICIPATION * Provide feedback to the Receiving Lead on workflow challenges or areas for improvement. * Assist in implementing SOPs and best practices provided by management. * Collaborate with team members to enhance productivity and quality. CROSS-DEPARTMENT COLLABORATION * Communicate effectively with inventory, QA, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth product flow. * Report issues impacting workflow, deadlines, or shipment quality to the Receiving Lead. COMPETENCIES / SKILLS / ABILITIES * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. * Analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to function well in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment. * Ability to learn and follow receiving procedures with accuracy. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, or related software preferred. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * High school diploma or equivalent. * Minimum 1–2 years of warehouse receiving or related experience. * Proficiency in using Project Management Software (PMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Excel. Experience with inventory management systems preferred. * Strong understanding of receiving processes, documentation, and workflow. PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Experience in electronics receiving, repair, or quality inspection. * Training experience or ability to coach team members on processes. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is typically performed indoors in an environmentally controlled office environment. There is little to no exposure to extreme environmental conditions and/or job hazards. ```
