DESCRIPTION

• Planning and implementing the objectives of the Industrial Refrigeration Department
• Planning, organizing and supervising the general day-to-day operation analyzing the workload, determining priorities and staffing capabilities and distributing work
• Developing maintenance associates, including conducting/coordinating training, skills assessment, and performance evaluations
• Identifying and resolving problems
• Communicating with other departments and customers to ensure customer satisfaction
• Participating on project teams and
• Responding to unplanned situation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have three years’ experience in industrial ammonia refrigeration
• Not have an unacceptable drug test result on a Publix or company-sponsored drug test within the previous 12 months
• Successfully pass a battery of written tests and a structured interview
• Be able to work the required schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
• Have working knowledge of all processes and related equipment
• Have strong analytical, problem solving, trouble-shooting and hands-on technical skills
• Have good presentation skills and the ability to develop training material
• Have knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control systems, utilities, and energy management (including preventative maintenance, systems and procedures)
• Have knowledge of programmable logic control and computer automation theories, software and hardware
• Have good computer skills, proficiency in MS Windows, Word and Excel
• Be able to read, make and change schematic diagrams, equipment and architectural drawings
• Be able to examine and interpret information from different sources to develop a course of action
• Be able to effectively convey information to coworkers, supervisors, associates, customers or outside agencies
• Be a positive role model
• Have the ability to work well with others and be a team member
• Show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work and

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Have experience in industrial ammonia refrigeration management
• RETA (Refrigeration Engineers Technician Association) certification.
