The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) Private Banking supports one or more Relationship Manager(s) (RM)/ Team Head(s) (TH) in daily operations, administration, client care and relationship management. The ARM interacts with internal as well as external stakeholders, provides clients with relevant information and supports the RM in implementing customized solutions. Furthermore, the ARM acts as role model in bringing the best service quality to the RMs/TH in a fast, professional and friendly manner, always living the Julius Baer values (Care, Passion and Excellence) and thus helping the team to manage and grow its current client base. He/she channels client feedback to the relevant individuals/departments within the Bank to foster continuous improvement and fast adaptation of processes. This position is the backbone of Client Relationship Management. YOUR CHALLENGE Tasks & Responsibilities Assist Relationship Managers (RM) in the day-to-day work servicing clients and handling administrative issues Attend incoming calls and ensure that always a prompt service provided Handle the account openings for new clients as well as account maintenance to existing clients including implementation of agreed fees and monitoring of applied fees Ensure efficient and prompt handling of orders, trades, transactions, payments etc. received from the client directly Monitor the maturity list for deposits, loans, trades; take action were instruction is standard, seek instructions (from RM or client) if necessary and required Maintain and update records of client instructions, client details and preferences Provide clients with information and data in verbal and/or written form, without giving advice or statement of opinion/no judge value Liaise with other RM-Teams, Operations & IT Ensure always adherence to compliance, legal guidelines, internal rules, regulations & policies etc. YOUR PROFILE Experience/Knowledge/Skills Relevant higher educational and professional background e.g. Bachelor’s Degree or banking apprenticeship combined first work experience and or relevant internal training Successfully passed the relevant regulatory online training for RMA information givers Some experience as a self-motivated Assistant to a Relationship Manager or in the area of portfolio management / investment advisory Understand the key characteristics, risk and features of those investment products available Understand the characteristics, scope and total amount of costs and charges to be incurred by the client in the context of transactions in an investment product, investment services or ancillary services Understand how financial markets function, the structure and how they affect the value and pricing of investment products which information will provided to the client Understand the impact of economic figures, national/regional/global events on markets and on the value of investment products which information will be provided to the client Understand the difference between past performance and future performance scenarios as well as the limits of predictive forecasting Understand issues relating to market abuse and anti-money laundering Assess data relevant to the investment products on which will be provided to the client, such as Key Investor Information, Documents, prospectuses, financial statements or financial data Basic knowledge of valuation principles for the type of investment products in relations to the information which will be provided to the client Able to work independently, well organized, swift and accurate even when under pressure Service oriented, discreet and responsible Friendly, open personality, well-presented and professional appearance We are looking forward to receiving your full job application through our online application tool.
