ASSISTANT RESERVATIONS MANAGER * LUXURY COLLECTION OF HOTELS IN LONDON

our central reservations team at Red Carnation Hotels is recruiting for an experienced, warm, and engaging Assistant Reservations Manager to join our team. The Reservations office is based in London Vitoria and will take reservations for the UK-based Red Carnation hotels. We are looking for someone with similar previous experience excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail while being able to multitask. This position has excellent progression opportunities and would be suited to someone with an enthusiastic personality and a can-do attitude.
Location: The Rubens at the Palace, Victoria, London
Employment type: Full-time
Working pattern: 5 days on 2 days off – weekends required, on average one weekend per month. The office is open from 8am – 9pm Monday to Sunday
Salary: Competitive + uncapped commission.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with managing and motivating the reservations team on a shift basis, with the support of the Reservations Manager.
  • Overseeing reservations inbox and ensuring that enquiries have been dealt with promptly.
  • Monitoring incoming calls to ensure the Forbes standards are adhered to during every phone call.
  • Supporting the training and development of team members to help them thrive in their roles.
  • Helping manage team performance and providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
  • Building strong knowledge of our UK hotel portfolio to help guide guests to the most suitable package.
  • Carry out regular arrival and reservation checks (with the use of booking made report) to ensure all is correct on the system.
  • Collaborating regularly with hotel teams to maintain smooth interdepartmental operations.
  • Confidently manage weekend shifts on an independent basis.
  • Sell, process, enter, and confirm room reservations using selling techniques and strategies.
