JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking experienced Assistant Resident Engineers with a strong background in civil engineering supervision and project execution in the UAE. The role requires overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, QA/QC standards, HSE regulations, and coordinating with all project stakeholders for successful delivery and handover.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 14–18 years of overall experience, including: 8–12 years in the UAE, 2–6 years in home country.
  • Minimum work experience requirements: 5+ years with principal consultants in the UAE, 6+ years with main contractors in the UAE, 4–6 years with main contractors or developers in home country.
  • Strong expertise in QA/QC, project management, and risk mitigation.
  • Dubai Municipality certification is a plus
  • Must be available to join within 30 days.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control project execution and handover in line with design drawings, contract requirements, QA/QC plans, HSE plans, and authority regulations.
  • Review and approve engineering submissions including shop drawings, material and technical submittals, and method statements.
  • Review and approve inspections such as work inspections, material inspections, and other site inspections.
  • Review, clarify, and approve RFIs and CVIs.
  • Review and certify payment applications, variation claims, and EOT claims submitted by contractors and subcontractors.
  • Review and approve project baseline programs, construction schedules, and look-ahead programs.
  • Conduct weekly progress review and technical meetings; prepare and issue meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
  • Monitor project non-conformities; issue site observations and non-conformity notices; coordinate compliance measures.
  • Assess and implement risk mitigation strategies to achieve successful project delivery.
  • Supervise, guide, and provide technical support to the consultant’s project team.
