Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Resident Engineer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will support the Resident Engineer in overseeing construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with local regulations.
- Assist in managing day-to-day construction activities, including scheduling, quality control, and safety compliance
- Review and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project plans and standards
- Prepare and maintain accurate technical reports, daily logs, and other project documentation
- Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project goals are met
- Support the Resident Engineer in contract administration and change order management
- Assist in reviewing and approving contractor submittals and RFIs (Requests for Information)
- Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Ensure compliance with UAE construction standards and regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
- 12 Years of experience as an Assistant Resident Engineer.
- 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering or construction management.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control procedures.
- Experience with construction site supervision and familiarity with local building codes.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
- Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
- Knowledge of contract administration and change order management.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in construction.
- Familiarity with UAE construction standards and regulations.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
