Description
Responsibilities Providing technical and managerial guidance and direction to the Clerk of Works (COWs). Coordinating with site personnel to ensure all construction activities align with project drawings and specifications, meeting the required quality standards. Assisting the Resident Engineer (RE) in monitoring project progress, identifying potential delays, and recommending mitigation measures. Reviewing and ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance Plans and HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) Manuals prepared by the Work Package Contractor (WPC). Collaborating with the RE to evaluate method statements, proposed materials, shop drawings, and traffic management plans submitted by the WPC for site operations. Responding to technical inquiries from the WPC and coordinating with design engineers for any required design changes. Assisting the RE in reviewing and maintaining various project reports, including Site Diaries, Monthly Progress Reports, QAQC (Quality Assurance Quality Control) Reports, HSSE Reports, Routine Maintenance Reports, Traffic Management Safety Reports, and Incident Reports. Verifying the work completed by the WPC for their interim claims. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Minimum 12 years (s) of proven working experience in construction site supervision, ideally in road and bridge projects. Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia. Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and quality assurance processes. Knowledge of Malaysian construction regulations and safety standards.
