OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of our restaurant, offering breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner service. In this role, you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure smooth shift transitions, exceptional guest experiences, and efficient team management. Your leadership skills, attention to detail, and passion for hospitality will contribute to creating a welcoming and memorable dining environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple shifts and service styles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with both guests and team members.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenges with professionalism.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, health and hygiene standards, and restaurant operations.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and upholding high service standards.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, including breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner service.
  • Lead and support the front-of-house team, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism during all shifts.
  • Supervise and participate in the setup, execution, and breakdown of each meal service to maintain a seamless guest experience.
  • Address guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests, ensuring a positive resolution and maintaining guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and efficient food and beverage service.
  • Monitor staff performance, provide on-the-spot coaching, and support team training initiatives.
  • Assist with staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts while optimizing efficiency.
  • Help manage inventory, stock levels, and ordering to support daily operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and company policies.
  • Act as the point of contact in the absence of the Restaurant Manager, ensuring smooth operations and decision-making.
  • Contribute to achieving financial goals by monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and suggesting improvements.
  • Promote teamwork, positivity, and a collaborative working environment among staff.
