We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our fantastic Food & Beverage team here at Old Thorns Hotel. We are looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality and will work well within our great restaurant team, providing guests with excellent customer service and delicious food. This role will mainly consist of assisting the Restaurant Manager in the responsibility for the operation of breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner service, ensuring all guests receive high standards of customer service and departmental profitability is achieved.
Working as part of our Food and Beverage team, you will be expected to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, organisational and communication skills. You will need to be passionate and knowledgeable about food and must be confident in leading and inspiring your restaurant team. The role will give you the opportunity to learn and develop, with the potential to progress within the company. This is a hands on, operational role and will suit someone who likes working with a friendly and hardworking team in a hotel setting.
Old Thorns is a four-star resort in Hampshire. The hotel is easily accessible from the A3, and only 30 minutes from Guildford and Portsmouth. Old Thorns offers a wide range of accommodation, conference & function facilities, health club, beauty spa, restaurants & bars, a championship golf course.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • The ability to motivate, inspire and train a team
  • A hands on approach and desire to lead by example
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service
  • Able to work in an efficient and organised manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Excellent standards of spoken English)
Responsibilities
