About the role The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for supporting the Line Manager in daily operations to ensure guests' satisfaction and be the righthand person for a smooth business run. · Maintain a consistent level of service standard by tracking and communicating daily operations performance to the Line Manager to ensure a successful customer experience. · Ensure that Qatar Airways and FSCC policies are implemented and maintained to meet requirements and standards. · Assist the Line Manager in managing all day-to-day operations by preparing the scheduling of staff, and their training calendar, stock inventory control, and customer service to promote profitability. · Ensure that information relating to Qatar Airways, Qatar Duty Free and its Food & Beverage operation is disseminated to the entire restaurant staff through effective daily briefing. · Analyze weekly results and plot them on the monthly sales report in order for the Restaurant Manager to identify and suggest area of improvements. · Assist the Line Manager by preparing the upselling plan and by driving the team to achieve it to increase the average spent per cover. · Support the Line Manager on initiating and completing all people management procedures by conduct the probation review, face to face meeting and providing the team with constructive feedbacks. · Set standards in service and guest relations and ensure guest feedback is communicated effectively and efficiently to the Line Manager in order to take appropriate actions. · Set up team roaster and plan overtime and holidays shifts to make sure that the outlet is adequately staffed. · Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department Be part of an extraordinary story Your skills. About you The successful candidate will have the following: · Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent · Minimum 3 years of job-related experience · Working experience in fast paced multi units environments · Experienced in HACCP and quality assurance implementation or Related Training · Worked with a major internationally recognized hotel or Commercial Brand (preferably 5 star restaurant) Job Specific Skills: · Operational expertise : Building understanding in restaurant and hospitality operations, including culinary expertise. · Service Excellence and guest management : Competent in meeting and exceeding guests expectations and improving and maintaining the overall service excellence standards. · Commercial & Financial acumens : Building understanding in restaurant financial and commercial fundamentals to maximize revenue and drive financial KPIs. · Food Safety & Hygiene Standards : Competent in Food Safety Hygiene regulations & protocols in the restaurant and kitchen operations.
