Description

Takumi Japanese BBQ and Ramen is looking for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to lead our team and ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to maintain high service and food quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous restaurant management experience required (preferably in Japanese or Asian cuisine).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
  • Experience with POS systems and restaurant management software is a plus.
  • Must be available for flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Chinese or English/Japanese) are a plus.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: From $17.20 per hour
    Expected hours: No less than 35 per week

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house management.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise staff to maintain excellent customer service and efficiency.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and adherence to Takumi’s standards.
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, and labor costs to optimize efficiency.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relations to maintain cost control.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to improve workflow and optimize service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and customer retention.
  • Lead by example and foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Assist General Manager to supervise the whole restaurant.
