The Waterline Restaurant is located overlooking the beautiful Keppel Bay Marina on the Capricorn Coast, and is the regions most awarded restaurant.
With restrictions eased, it is time for us to rebuild our functions and catering side of the business and capitalise on the escalating demand.
With a brilliant team of Chefs, our reputation for delivering an outstanding dining experience is second to none, and something our FOH team take pride in presenting to our valued clientele.
Working alongside the Restaurant Manager the key purpose of this role is to assist in growing the business through functions, events, marketing and delivering an outstanding customer experience on a day to day basis.
The successful applicant should hold at least Diploma degree in hospitality and have at least 2 years relevant work experience. You should be an outstanding team player, helpful, reliable and has the skill set and experience to perform the following duties:

The duties and responsibilities for the position of Assistant Restaurant Manager, working alongside the Restaurant Manager will include

  • Overseeing service on a daily basis to meet quality standards
  • Maintaining appropriate levels of stock, adhering to budgets set
  • Estimate food consumption, place orders with suppliers, and schedule delivery of fresh food and beverages.
  • Resolve customer complaints about food, quality or service
  • Direct cleaning of kitchen and dining areas to maintain sanitation standards, and keep appropriate records
  • Monitor actions of staff and customers to ensure that health and safety standards and liquor regulations are obeyed.
  • Ensuring all Safety and health regulations are complied with, maintaining a functional and clean restaurant.
  • Responsible for training of all front of house staff ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with all departments within the operation to ensure clear and timely communication of information.
  • Co-ordinating and executing functions and special event bookings
  • Maintaining a relevant presence on Social Media
  • Check quality of deliveries on receipt
  • Recruit, hire, and oversee training for staff
  • Assisting with dining room service according to the restaurant’s quality and service standards. Receiving reservations, greeting clients.
  • Ensure responsible service of alcohol policies is implemented.
  • Initiate, implement and monitor work, Health & safety Policy.

While not essential experience in function co-ordination and social media marketing would be advantageous to this role.
Annual Salary plus superannuation based on experience and skill set.
