Assistant Retail Store Manager JOB PURPOSE: TO DELIVER ON THE MISSION OF WILCO BY PROFITABLY PROVIDING SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. JOB SUMMARY: Assist in profitably leading and managing a retail store location, including sales and merchandising, inventory, facility image, personnel, and planning. Act as Manager on Duty as assigned. REPORTS TO: Retail Store Manager SUPERVISES: Front-End Department Manager | Lead Warehouser | Warehouse Team | Receiving Team RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in managing store personnel, including staff selection, training, mentoring, coaching, and evaluating employees. Act as Manager on Duty when the store manager is out. Ensure customer service using established retail customer service standards. Manage and maintain store facilities and location equipment in accordance with established retail image standards. Direct location merchandise management, including receiving, stocking, merchandising, and assembling of product, utilizing established procedures. Lead and participate in regular and special meetings. Open and/or close farm store as assigned. Participate in special project work when requested. SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING Knowledge of management, supervision practices, principles, and regulations. Knowledge of industry and support of Wilco core values. Skill to operate computer systems and automated office machines. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to customers and staff. Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION 3 years of retail experience. College degree or equivalent experience.
