Truesdell Corporation is currently seeking an Assistant Roadway Construction Superintendent to join our Western Region team based out of Colton, CA to manage Bridge Maintenance Projects. This candidate will be able to travel within California and to other states in the western region for up to 2 weeks at a time. Be a hard worker, dynamic leader and able to manage multiple projects at one time. Our ideal candidate will enjoy travel, working on bridges, learning new skills, and working with our fast-paced team and is excited about the opportunity to advance within our company.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong background in Heavy Civil
  • Knowledge of general duties associated with concrete repair, restoration, patching, or prep crews.
  • Strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Safety first mentality. Awareness and understanding of OSHA and company safety requirements.
  • Meet quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Build trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Basic math skills.
  • Construction Management: 2 years (preferred)
Responsibilities
  • Oversees and assumes responsibility for productivity of concrete repair.
  • Efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
  • Manages project staging, access, hoisting, vertical and horizontal movement of material.
  • Evaluates construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness plans according to budget.
  • Coordinates and directs all subcontractor and vendor deliveries to ensure timelines and efficient placement on site.
  • Identifies active and potential delays to the project and assures they are being documented and communicated to the project team.
  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems by developing a recovery plan.
  • Documents (DPR) Daily Production Rate, throughout the duration of the project.
  • Cleans and maintains equipment as needed, including maintenance and operation of various power tools.
