Westfield House Childcare is an Ofsted ’Outstanding’ Nursery and Forest School for children aged 0-5. We are a small business that has developed over time retaining a home from home feel. We are looking to recruit an Early Years Educator / Assistant Room Leader (Level 3 or above) for July 2025. The position is for 36-39 hours per week between Monday to Friday, on a four day a week basis. Applicants must have 2 years experience of working within a nursery, hold at least a level 3 qualification in childcare, hold full paediatric first aid training and be on the DBS update service.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about working with early years children. Primarily with 0-5 years.
  • Someone who is able to deliver outstanding care.
  • A reflective person who is committed to their own professional development and the development of the setting.
  • Someone who can meet deadlines and independently manage their work, and the work of their team.
  • Someone who is organised, responsible and reliable.
  • Someone with enthusiasm who is pro-active and flexible.
  • Someone with experience at leading a room.
  • Ideally someone who has SEN experience.
  • Someone with a deep understanding of the EYFS and Inspection Framework.
  • Someone who can work as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and support the running of the nursery in the absence of the Deputy and Nursery Manager (third in charge).
  • Applicants must have at least a Level 3 qualification in childcare. English GCSE at Grade C or above. Applicants must hold a current DBS on the update service and Paediatric First Aid.
