WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE A SUCCESSFUL ASSISTANT RUGBY COACH (GIRLS) AT ACTIVATE LEARNING?

Successful candidates will have relevant experience working within the age-grade pathway and coaching, along with a strong understanding of contemporary coaching and training practices. The ideal qualifications and experiences include:

  • ERACA (Level 3) Coaching Qualification (or a level 2 and a willingness to complete it while in the role).
  • Experience and understanding of the women and girls game
  • Familiarity with current rugby union coaching and training practices
  • Knowledge of domestic, international and pathway women’s rugby. (Desirable)
  • UK Driving license to support with transporting Academy Players to training.

In addition, you will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners, have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Rugby Coach (Girls), you will play a crucial role in mentoring our dedicated and ambitious students aged 16-18, providing them with the opportunity to pursue their rugby goals alongside their full-time education.
You will work closely with the Head of Rugby to manage the girls rugby programme, supporting the delivery of innovative and structured training sessions that align with the programme’s goals. Your efforts will ensure that all students have the opportunity to enhance their skills and achieve outstanding results. Additionally, you will offer pastoral support and guidance to students throughout their educational journey, as well as supporting accommodation staff with enrichment responsibilities around the girls rugby programme.
This is a Full time, Permanent Opportunity - Term Time.
