About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Work Health Safety Team. The Work Health Safety Unit provides strategic leadership, advice and effective coordination and implementation of work health safety (WHS) management strategies, frameworks and activities. The unit provides WHS advisory and support services and oversees the implementation of systems and processes that assist Canberra Health Services to become a safe and accountable healthcare environment. Canberra Health Services staff, people who use our services, and visitors have the right to feel safe and be safe in Canberra Health Services workplaces. The Assistant Safety Advisor provides operational Work Health and Safety (WHS) support to Canberra Health Services. The role assists with incident review and reporting, data analysis, risk management activities and administrative coordination to support compliance with WHS legislation and accreditation standards. Working under limited direction, the position provides practical advice to managers and staff and contributes to the effective implementation and continuous improvement of the WHS Management System across CHS.
