Our client Furuno UK Ltd, part of the Furuno Electric Company group is a world leader in marine electronics. They specialize in providing cutting-edge products and services to various markets, including commercial, deep-sea fishing, yachts and superyachts, land, marine-based security, safety and environmental systems.
They are now looking for a bright, personable Assistant Sales Coordinator to join their team based in Havant, Hampshire. This is a key role within the organisation, providing office-based support to both customers and the sales team to ensure that the company exceeds expectations by successfully delivering all of their products and services.

Assistant Sales Coordinator, the role:

  • Responding to new enquiries and customers across all sales channels (email and phone)
  • Ensuring all enquires are dealt with in a timely manner (from sales information, stock, quotes, new orders or chasing up current orders)
  • Supporting the Lead Sales Coordinator and Sales Manager
  • Adding quotations and sales orders to internal ERP system
  • Assisting in stock forecasting through monitoring outstanding quotes and highlighting stock shortfalls
  • Maintaining ongoing sales activity and deliveries flow (liaising with internal departments)
  • Monitoring international sanctions in relation to day-to-day business by completing vessel checks in line with business expectations
  • Any other reasonable duties as required

Assistant Sales Coordinator, the person:

  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grades 9-4/A-C or equivalent
  • A good level of numeracy and the ability to work accurately with figures
  • Confidence in written correspondence
  • A background in business administration with a demonstrable aptitude for organisation
  • Organisational skills to work in a fastmoving environment and a can-do attitude
  • Confidence in the use of all Microsoft Office applications including Excel
  • Interpersonal skills to build and develop relationships with new and existing customers across
  • Self-motivation and a willingness to continually learn new skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in using internet-based stock systems and ERP packages
  • Knowledge of the marine industry
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office Applications including data manipulation, pivot tables and conditional formatting
  • A business or communications qualification at diploma level or higher
