Job Responsibilities

• Provides guidance on commercial deal making to junior team members of the same business unit in the absence of the supervising team leader.
• Research and strategize for bidding of MICE and/or social events according to assigned portfolio.
• Responsible for promoting and contracting meetings, conferences, and events through the booking of MICE meeting space.
• Work with team leads to strategize and secure short and long-term events business pipeline.
• Work with Space Optimization and Revenue Optimization teams to secure optimum space usage and revenue for the company and the client.
• Prepare proposals and review legal clauses of contracts.
• Achieve assigned quarterly and annual MICE financial goals.
• Prepare and conduct presentations, site visits to potential clients.
• Solicit and build sales pipelines; timely follow up on leads and response to clients.
• Participate in key industry and trade shows (local and overseas) when necessary.
• Prepare regular department reports on revenues forecast, booking trends, production, and utilization of client’s event space.
• Any additional work duties assigned by the supervisor and Executive Director of Sales.

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

• Tertiary education, Diploma/Degree.

Experience

Other Prerequisites

• Passionate about the MICE industry.
• Possess knowledge and understanding of MICE business preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, MS Word).
• Possess interpersonal communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel when required.
