Job Details Job Location: Haine - Cranberry Twp, PA 16066 Salary Range: $16.00 - $17.00 Hourly Employment Type School Age Assistant Teacher/ Assistant Group Supervisor Part Time (2:00pm-6:00pm) Location: Haine Elementary (Seneca Valley School District, Cranberry Twp., PA) Age Range: Kindergarten -6th grade $500 Signing Bonus after first 90 days. Pay range starting at $16.00 per hour. Assistant Group Supervisor FSLA: Full-Time Non-Exempt Reports to: Director of School Age Programs Position Summary: The Assistant Group Supervisor supports the Teachers and/or Group Supervisors by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of the education. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment and develop positive relationships with the children and their parents. Assistants are responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on the children’s interests and needs under the direction of the Teacher and/or the Group Supervisor. Primary Activities and Responsibilities: Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by the children. Actively engage in activities inside and outside. Manage cleanliness, and order of classroom and classroom materials. Communicate effectively with children to ensure safety, relationships, and guidance. Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling. Follow all Stepping Stones policies as well as DHS regulations. Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement. Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma Minimum of 2 years (2,500 hours) of professional experience working/volunteering with children. Willingness to complete a CDA, SAC or credit equivalent course work. High energy. Ability to work well with others. An understanding of child development. Ability to interact with children on different levels including the floor, lift/carry children and supplies, and move around the center while supervising children. Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain. Must pass full background check, drug screening test and health screening. Knowledge and Skills: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and/or other software programs. Ability to use basic office equipment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
