ASSISTANT SEA SITE MANAGER

Salary Range: $30.00 to 35.00 Hourly
Grieg Seafood BC Ltd., a dynamic and growing company in the Aquaculture industry, is seeking to hire a permanent full-time Assistant Sea Site Manager. Reporting to the Sea Site Manager, the Assistant Sea Site Manager is responsible for all farm operations including feeding, animal husbandry, maintaining contractor relationships, security of stocks and coordinating/directing work crews. The Assistant Sea Site Manager works a shift of 8 days on and 6 days off on one of our sea sites, leading a team Aquaculture Technicians.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or Degree in Aquaculture, Aquatic Resources or Fisheries Resources Management preferred.
  • Must have minimum three years’ recent related experience.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent Project Management Skills.
  • Physically fit.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong report-writing skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Proficient in use of FishTalk or similar fish health management software.
  • In depth knowledge of all company policies, procedures and government regulations.
  • Able to train Aquaculture Technicians to company Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to understand and direct plans in support of FCR and Growth Performance.
  • Proficient math skills.
  • Valid BC driver’s license.
