Job Specifications Title: Assistant Security Manager Environment: Corporate Healthcare Location: Canton, MA (Free On‑Site Parking) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Additional Requirements: Flexibility to work off‑hours as needed (nights, weekends, etc.) Pay: $25.00/hour Essential Functions Supervises Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other assigned personnel across one or more client posts; ensures post orders are followed, rounds are completed, and required reports are submitted Responds to emergencies by notifying appropriate authorities and client representatives Coaches and disciplines staff as appropriate; consults with management and documents all actions Trains Security Officers and reviews post orders and assignment details with team members Assists with payroll and personnel submissions Ensures adequate staffing and coverage for all posts in coordination with management Prepares, files, and submits required reports Conducts scheduled post inspections and meets with staff to outline tasks and expectations Meets with client representatives as needed to ensure security requirements are met and to maintain strong customer service Performs supervisory duties in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and making hiring or termination recommendations May perform Security Officer duties as needed in accordance with post orders and company policy Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the company Minimum 2 years of retail experience preferred Competencies Ability to meet and maintain any required state, county, or municipal security licensing Knowledge of security operations, including patrol, inspection, and response Understanding of supervisory practices and procedures Ability to motivate and direct staff effectively Familiarity with security and safety devices and controls Ability to learn quickly and follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions Strong scheduling and organizational skills Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure Strong customer service orientation Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact across diverse cultures and social levels Ability to write routine correspondence, logs, and reports Adaptability to various sites and changing post procedures Courteous and professional telephone manner Working Conditions (Physical & Mental Demands) With or without reasonable accommodation, candidates must be able to perform all essential functions.
