Job Details Job Location: Jackpot Junction - Morton, MN 56270 Position Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $19.50 - $38.80 Hourly Job Shift: Evening/Late Night (+Weekends) ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Maintain a safe and secure environment by displaying exceptional leadership and supervisory skills. Protect the property and assets of Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel. Assist in maintaining daily shift reports and incident reports with all pertinent information, detailing the events and activities of the prescribed shift. Supervise and monitor the duties of all floor security guards during each shift. Assume the role of the Security Shift Supervisor in the Supervisors absence from the property. Display an excellent degree of customer relations and provide exceptional customer service. Provide aid and attend to ill or injured customers and employees by providing adequate medical attention. Assist and cooperate with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Assist in the coordination and organization of all emergency services for traffic accidents, fires, bomb threats, inclement weather, etc. Perform random foot patrols around the entire Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel complex on a regular basis. Verify all daily bank deposits and visually observes that all deposit bags are properly secured. Organize all floor security guard breaks and assist as necessary to maintain smooth operations. Maintain a good communication link with surveillance operators. Maintain a neat and professional appearance. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 1½ years of experience in security, casino security or law enforcement required. Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in security or law enforcement required. EMT/First Responder, CPR and First Aid certification, or certification within 6 months of hire required. Must possess a valid drivers license. Applicants with an out-of-state license must obtain a Minnesota license within 30 days of hire. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES Knowledge of Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel and Security Department policies and procedures. Knowledge of casino gaming, blackjack, slots, bingo, etc. Knowledge in conducting investigations and documentation for further criminal proceedings. Knowledge of various forms of identification. Knowledge of Jackpot Junction Casino Hotels floorplan. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to effectively communicate with directors, managers and employees. Able to effectively communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Able to maintain a strict level of confidentiality. Strong report writing skills. UNIVERSAL REQUIREMENTS Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures. Regular attendance and punctuality. Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required. Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Mobility throughout the facility. Physical fitness level which allows for continuous mobility throughout the facility and for the control of unruly guests. Able to pass pre-employment and semi-annual physical agility tests. Able to work under stressful conditions in a stressful environment. Able to work in a smoking environment. Vision correctable to a minimum of 20/40. Good hearing ability.
