Day in the Life: Assistant Service Department Manager Collaborate with the service manager on department goals, budgets, work flow, assignments and processes to ensure these align with organizational objectives Manage service personnel to include work order assignments, standards of performance, attendance/scheduling, safety adherence and customer satisfaction Provide coaching, performance feedback, and employee development as well as ensure staff are assigned and complete all required training Analyze service rework and implement corrective actions, submit all service warranty and product improvement program claims to maximize credit Monitor expenses, negotiate equitable service policy settlements and lead implementation of best practices to ensure revenue growth Need to Succeed: 3-5 years of experience in an equipment service department is required, with background as a shop supervisor/foreman/coordinator highly preferred Demonstrated progressive leadership abilities with excellent communication and ability to take initiative is required; must have excellent attendance without performance issues to be considered for promotion or transfer Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, dealer systems and consistent usage of systems, with experience in CDK preferred Financial and business understanding to monitor expenses and revenue is required Ability to lead by example, coach others and be coachable with continued training required through Deere Service Management certification program Life at James River EquipmentAbout the Benefits In addition to a competitive salary plus annual bonus eligibility, the successful candidate will receive: Extended health, dental, and vision insurance (day one of employment) Health savings account options Flexible spending account options Disability and life insurance 401k with employer match and profit share (after 90 days of employment) Annual tools and PPE allowance Paid time off and paid holidays Employee recognition rewards program Opportunities to attend a yearly cruise for top performers Opportunities for leadership and professional growth Quarterly group outings, company events, and employee recognition programs Upon joining James River Equipment, you will be welcomed into a supportive, collaborative, and diverse team that takes pride in a job well done and is appreciated for the work they do!
