Description

Business Planning/Service Development Support the Service Manager in the development of a service strategy in line with Trust Objectives and business plans / business cases. Analyse and utilise statistics and information to support the Service Managers, ADO and the Divisional Director in planning and decision making. Participate in service redesign events, including using LEAN methodology to facilitate service changes. Financial Management Manage the resources effectively to ensure the responsibilities are delivered within existing resources.
Take opportunities to improve financial performance, reporting systems and processes To deputise for the Service Manager in ordering and approve orders for stock/services for the department. General management Support the investigation and response to complaints and incident reports in line with Trust policy. Assist the Service Managers and ADO to draw up policies and procedures for the service as required in response to and in line with Trust directives. Ensure effective communication with all multidisciplinary professions.
Support the Division in development of services. Represent the Service Managers and the Division at meetings as required. Ensure Health and Safety issues are identified and addressed. Provide regular and ad hoc reports as required by the Service Managers / ADO Responsible for ones own continuous professional development.
To undertake project work as requested by the Service Managers / ADO Provide effective leadership, motivation, performance management and development processes to achieve required results. Participate and encourage developments designed to enhance individual and team capacity and capability. Manage the A & C staff within delegated areas of responsibility. In conjunction with the Service Managers, promote a positive culture of learning, development and professionalism within the services, including the provision of training activities.
Ensure that the performance development review process is implemented in accordance with Trust policy, with all staff having a personal development plan, to encourage a culture of life-long learning.
