Assist the Service Manager in training personnel. Preform quality assurance activities as directed through quality assurance inspections, random quality checks and training technicians in quality assurance. Assist the Service Manager in resolving customer complaints and general customer relations. Schedule, assign and supervise work with the objective of maximizing the balance of quality, productivity and profit. Supervise maintenance of tools and shop equipment Customer Relations Maintaining relationships with current customers. Review estimates and actual repair time. Labor Pricing Initial and on-going training and support of all service personnel. Actively engage with the Service Manager. Participate in annual marketing plan and budget for the shop. Involved in regular monitoring of actual performance to plan and determine reasons for variance. Develop and implement appropriate strategies and programs as necessary to attain the dealerships shop objectives. Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed to maintain Elite Certification. Carry out established company policies and procedures. Additional duties as assigned. Work Environment & Physical Abilities: Activities require a full range of motion including; handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. This position may require standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time. This position requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range. This position requires the occasional ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 45 lbs. Required to perform work inside and outside, in varying weather situations. Must be able to operate simple, complex and heavy-duty machinery. Required Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and MVR in good standing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with all aspects of gas and diesel truck repair and maintenance including; engine repair, transmission repair, drivability and electrical diagnostics, suspension, brake systems, etc. Ability to obtain a CDL within 90 days of employment. Ability to successfully complete a general abilities assessment. Ability to pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screen. Preferred Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills: Previous experience in a similar role. Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks.
