Description DEPARTMENT: Consumer Lending Division REPORTS TO: Store Manager Exempt Status: Non-Exempt OVERVIEW: Great management is essential to any successful retail organization. An exceptional Assistant Manager achieves a hard-working, productive, and effective workforce that maximizes financial goals, reduces costs, and elevates customer relations and satisfaction. ROLE: The Assistant Store Manager is accountable for the shift within the store they support and supports the Store Manager by coaching and developing the pawnbrokers. Previous people management experience is preferred. The Assistant Manager directly supports the Store Manager and serves as highest ranking manager in the absence of the Store Manager. The Assistant Manager is responsible for the shop they are assigned to and is responsible for all operational aspects of that shop in support of the Store Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a representative list of the general duties the Assistant Management position may be asked to perform and is not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned as needed, including managing the operational productivity of unit growth to ensure that the store unit meets all objectives. FIDUCIARY MANAGEMENT: The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in achieving goals and targets outlined in the annual budget. Creating and maintaining an environment that is conducive to the continued growth of the business. COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT: It is the responsibility of the Assistant Manager, in support of the Store Manager, to ensure that all business is conducted within City, State and Federal business requirements and compliant with all related ordinances. It is also the Assistant Managers responsibility, in support of the Store Manager, to ensure that all licensing is current and in good standing. TALENT MANAGEMENT: It is the responsibility of the Assistant Manager to support of the Store Manager by ensuring that team members receive all required training. This includes assisting with recruiting top talent and providing the appropriate feedback to subordinate coworkers to include coaching, training as well as participating with Store Manager in annual reviews to staff members. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for disciplinary action and bring urgent employee matters to the attention of the Director of Operations and Human Resources. Additionally, responsible for employee life cycle such as hiring, discipline and termination decisions in the absence of the Store Manager, as directed by the Director of Operations when necessary. ASSET MANAGEMENT: It is the responsibility of the Assistant Manager, in support of the Store Manager, to ensure that all compliance requirements are consistently met. To maintain all security provisions and ensure that all related security equipment is in full functioning order. To train and bring violations of expectations to the attention of the Store Manager. FACILITY MANAGEMENT: It is the responsibility of the Assistant Manager, in support of the Store Manager, to ensure that the facility they are assigned to is in good repair and all known concerns are being addressed in a timely manner. CUSTOMER SERVICE: It is the responsibility of the Assistant Manager to facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing any customer issues to meet the high expectations and standards of the company; continuously training the team and bringing urgent matters to the attention of the Store Manager.
