Description Healthy Kids Programs is on the lookout for a dynamic Assistant Site Director to help lead our Before and After School Program for the 2026-2027 school year. JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt LOCATION: Knowlton Township Elementary School in Delaware, NJ PAY: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour SCHEDULE: SPLIT SHIFT Morning Program hours vary between 7:00 - 8:00 am Afternoon Program hours vary between 2:15 - 5:30 pm Featured Benefit: Employer-Paid Childcare Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5–12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work. Key Responsibilities Program Compliance: Ensure staff and program operations consistently meet state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and host school requirements. Program Leadership: Plan and lead engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support. Program Management: Oversee daily operational tasks such as accurate attendance and registration tracking, scheduling, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels. Family Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and caregivers using the Playground App. Team Collaboration: Communicate regularly with your direct report to share updates, address concerns, and support a positive team environment. Together, you will ensure high-quality care, strong staff morale, and proactive problem-solving. Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Candidates must meet ONE of the following qualification options: Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or any other field related to Child Growth and Development, or Teaching Certification from the Department of Education in Elementary Education, Nursery School, Preschool through Third Grade (P-3) or Teacher of the Handicapped. In addition to, six Early Childhood credits and two years of experience working with children. Bachelor's Degree in any field other than those listed above. Plus, six Early Childhood credits and four years of experience working with children. Head Teacher endorsement from the New Jersey Registry for Childhood Professionals, Professional Impact New Jersey. QUALIFICATIONS: You have medical clearance to perform all job duties and are free from communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB). You bring a warm, friendly, and positive attitude, with strong interpersonal skills when working with children, parents, and team members. You are professional, dependable, and punctual. You are able to meet the physical demands of the role, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.
