Pay: $55,000/annually

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) strongly preferred, but not required. Associate or Bachelor degree is a plus.
  • Prior experience with customer account relations, and prior experience in the rental car industry required.
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience in managing or leading a team of employees.
  • Ideal candidates have excellent written and verbal communication skills, are customer service oriented, fosters teamwork and promotes safety. Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Computer skill including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) and internet skills.
  • Applicant must meet our minimum hiring age, have a valid state issued Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record.
  • Prior driving experience required. Must pass a background check, drug screening and driver safety skills test.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policies and procedure manuals. Ability to fill out write routine logs, reports and correspondence. Ability to manage scheduled, timekeeping records and payroll records.

Responsibilities

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Assistant Site Manager is responsible to provide support to the Site Manager by serving as a second layer of management to site employees such as Site Supervisors, Leads, Vehicle Service Agents (VSA), Scanners, Drivers/Transporters and Lot Porters. Assists the Site Manager with customer contacts and evaluates company operations at the site for the utmost customer satisfaction.

  • Create a consistent flow of communication from Site Manager and customer to employees for execution of tasks.
  • Ensure productivity standards and benchmarks are met at location.
  • Manage, train, coach and discipline employees as necessary.
  • Maintain strong customer service, both internally and externally.
  • Cover for Site Manager on days off and carry out tasks as directed.
  • Assist the Site Manager to create, review and modify staff schedules and fill gaps and/or correct overstaffing accordingly.
  • Interact with customer and attend meetings with customer as needed.
  • Assist Site Manager to coordinate with customer to discuss suggestions, improvements and challenges and make adjustments as applicable.
  • Review return area, rental area, wholesale and shop placements with client and ensure work tasks are completed with accuracy. Continuous follow-up with client regarding workflow status.
  • Ensure mechanical shops, glass, wholesale, turnback and registration vehicles are moved throughout the day to respective areas.
  • Review lots to determine quantity of movement and placement of vehicles. Direct and communicate with staff regarding productivity and document performance issues as necessary.
  • Escalate any misconduct or policy violations to HR immediately as applicable.
  • Conduct necessary safety training.
