The role of Assistant Soil Room Manager at Halifax Linen Service is to lead, develop and direct Soil Room staff and ensure the processes in the soil room are followed to achieve a satisfactory standard rate of pounds produced per hour (PPOH) in the absence of the Soil Room Manager. The Assistant Soil Room Manager is a working manager. The role of the Assistant Soil Room Manager is to fill in for the Soil Room Manager when the Soil Room Manager is away from the job area. ASSISTANT SOIL ROOM MANAGER – ROLE REQUIREMENTS

The role of Assistant Soil Room Manager requires experience in Soil Room Production or similar manufacturing experience. The role requires a results-oriented manager with a self-directed approach and the ability to adapt to various situations.

The Assistant Soil Room Manager role requires strong focus on the following:

  • 45% - Manage rail systems – Product movement through the Soil room
  • 30% - Working Manager – working with staff sorting linen.
  • 15% - Managing Staff – through Timeclock system, GOTLI, Communication with staff, peers and management
  • 10% - Soil Room Processes – Stopped customer procedure, Reject linen, “no soil”, audit requests, CO
