ASSISTANT SPORT OPERATIONS MANAGER

SUMMARY:

The Assistant Sport Operations Manager supports the Sport Operations Manager in the planning, execution, and day-to-day management of leagues, tournaments, and events in Ottawa. This role plays a key part in delivering exceptional participant experiences, coordinating logistics, managing part-time staff, and helping to grow the club’s presence through marketing and outreach initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Post-secondary education in Sports Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field is an asset.
  • 1–3 years of experience in sport or event operations, customer service, or team leadership.
  • Passion for recreational sports and community building.
  • Exceptional organization and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office; Excel proficiency is preferred.
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to work remotely with occasional travel to venues.
