JOB SUMMARY:

The Inventory Data Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records by entering, updating, and verifying stock data in inventory management systems. This role ensures that physical inventory levels align with recorded data and supports overall inventory accuracy and control efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in inventory, logistics, or data entry is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a data entry or inventory-related role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Basic math skills and ability to analyze numerical data.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Responsibilities
  • Input and update inventory records into database or inventory management software.
  • Review and verify incoming and outgoing shipments against system records.
  • Perform regular data checks and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system entries.
  • Generate inventory reports for management, highlighting stock levels, variances, and usage trends.
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and audits.
  • Coordinate with warehouse or stockroom personnel to validate transactions and inventory movement.
  • Ensure documentation related to inventory transactions (invoices, delivery receipts, etc.) is properly filed and accessible.
  • Maintain data integrity by following established data entry standards and protocols.
  • Support purchasing and supply chain teams with accurate inventory data for reordering decisions.
  • Monitor and flag low stock or overstock issues.
