OVERVIEW

We are searching for an enthusiastic, high-energy individual with a strong retail management mindset to fill the position of Assistant Store Manager at our North York Yummy Market location and other locations as we grow. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication, operations and customer service skills along with a passion for sales and merchandising.

  • Retail management: 3 years (required
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Store Manager in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers and increase sales
  • Coordinate daily customer service operations
  • Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives
  • Monitor and maintain store inventory
  • Evaluate employee performance and identify hiring and training needs
  • Supervise and motivate staff to perform their best
  • Coach and support new and existing employees
  • Monitor retail operating costs, budgets and resources
  • Promote and support sales training programs and techniques
  • Manage departments in the absence of department managers/assistants
  • Communicate and interact with internal and external customers
  • Analyze customer behavior and adjust product positioning
  • Handle escalated complaints from customers in store
  • Create reports, analyze and interpret retail data, store revenues vs. expenses and review direct competition data
  • Partner with Procurement team to understand product cycles, and merchandising strategies
  • Partner with Receivers to ensure a smooth process of accepting and moving product to appropriate areas of the store
  • Ensure store is ready for business
  • Participate in scheduling of store employees
  • Step in for Store Manager for meetings/daily operating responsibilities as needed
  • Ensure all employees adhere to company’s policies and guidelines
    Note: Annual salary of successful candidate will be based on experience
