QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail, or related field
  • 5–7 years of experience in supermarket/store operations, preferably in GCC
  • Experience in assisting store operations and team handling

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in Arabic and English

Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE

To assist the Store Manager in overseeing store operations and ensuring efficient execution of daily activities. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, supporting profitability, maintaining process compliance, and delivering an excellent customer experience. The Assistant Store Manager plays a key role in team supervision, operational execution, and customer engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Sales & Profitability
  2. Support Store Manager in achieving sales and profitability targets
  3. Assist in monitoring sales performance, stock movement, and promotional activities
  4. Recommend actions to improve conversion rates and average basket value
  5. Store Operations
  6. Ensure smooth execution of daily operations including replenishment and stock rotation
  7. Supervise cleanliness, merchandising, and adherence to safety standards
  8. Ensure timely and accurate execution of planograms and promotions
  9. Team Support & Supervision
  10. Support Store Manager in staff scheduling, training, and supervision
  11. Motivate store staff to deliver high service standards
  12. Monitor staff performance and escalate issues as required
  13. Customer Service
  14. Resolve customer queries and concerns promptly
  15. Maintain store environment that is welcoming and service-oriented
  16. Promote customer satisfaction and retention
  17. Process Compliance
  18. Ensure SOPs are followed across all operations
  19. Support stock audits, cash handling, and loss prevention efforts
  20. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
