OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

To support our retail store operations, we are seeking a highly skilled, experienced Assistant Store Manager that will drive operational excellence, with hands on leadership and guidance for our store soon to be relocated.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the retail footwear store. This includes managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, maintaining inventory, and upholding store standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience, preferably in footwear.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail management software.
  • Attributes: Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

  • Implement visual merchandising plans and promotional displays.
  • Monitor and adjust product placement to maximize sales.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain store security and safety standards.
  • Oversee store opening and closing procedures.
  • Prepare reports on sales, staff performance, and other operational metrics.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise, typically weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and performing tasks that require physical exertion.
