Full-Time Position

Dollars and Sense is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the day-to-day operation of our Katherine store. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing discount variety retailer and play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, strong store presentation, and outstanding operational results.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Store Manager to achieve sales targets, maintain high merchandising standards, support team development, and ensure the store operates efficiently and effectively.

Salary & Benefits

Competitive salary package of $62,000 - $66,000 plus superannuation

Salary will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and roster flexibility

Full-time position based on 38 ordinary hours per week

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the day-to-day management of store operations

Support the Store Manager in achieving sales and KPI targets

Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service

Assist with stock control, inventory management, and stock replenishment

Maintain high standards of merchandising and store presentation

Support recruitment, training, and development of team members

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and workplace safety requirements

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a retail leadership or supervisory role preferred

Strong merchandising skills and attention to detail

Results-driven with a focus on achieving sales and operational targets

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Positive, energetic, and customer-focused attitude

Experience with POS systems

Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Previous experience in discount variety retailing will be highly regarded

You will report directly to the Store Manager and play an important role in helping drive the store's success while fostering a positive and productive team culture.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in discount variety retail sector
• Track record in high-volume retail environments
