Focus on Furniture, one of Australia’s fastest-growing furniture and bedding retailers, is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to support our store leadership team and help drive outstanding results.

About the Role

As Assistant Store Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager to support the day-to-day operation of the store. You will lead from the front, coach and motivate the sales team, contribute to achieving store targets and step into store leadership responsibilities when the Store Manager is not on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in driving sales and achieving store KPIs
  • Support in leading, coach and motivate the sales team to deliver strong results
  • Provide day-to-day direction and support to team members
  • Deliver an exceptional in-store customer experience
  • Support in training and mentoring team members in sales techniques and product knowledge
  • Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation
  • Resolve customer enquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently
  • Support the Store Manager with team performance, operational requirements and business initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in retail sales, ideally with previous supervisory or leadership responsibilities
  • A strong track record of achieving sales and KPI targets
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • A hands-on leadership style and willingness to lead from the front
  • Solid computer literacy
  • Availability to work weekends as required
  • Furniture experience is advantageous but not essential
