Fresh Baguette opened its doors in downtown Bethesda in the fall of 2013. We take great pride in offering our customers unique moments of indulgence. We have established a reputation for quality breads, croissants, sandwiches, and pastries inspired by bakeries in France across the DMV. Our popularity with both retail and wholesale customers has allowed us to grow rapidly, with six retail locations in Rockville, Bethesda, Alexandria, DC, McLean, and Germantown.
Fresh Baguette is looking for an Assistant Store Manager for its Georgetown store (1737 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC 20007). The main role is customer service oriented, and team/shift management to ensure customers are always warmly welcomed and served in a clean and inviting environment from 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM every day of the week. The Assistant Store Manager works either morning shifts between 6:00 AM-1:00 PM or afternoon shifts between 1:00 PM-7:00 PM. Flexibility is mandatory.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Physical exertion requirement to perform heavy work such as frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a shift leader/supervisor
  • Experience working at a café or bakery will be a plus
  • Reliable transportation to work (not reliant on public transportation)
  • English language proficiency
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

    Pay: 21.00$/hr- 23.00$/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Training the team on daily operations and specific subjects such as food safety or customer service
  • Managing the team when the General Manager is not available
  • Assisting the store manager with operational tasks: * Hiring
  • Scheduling work hours and shifts
  • Offering coverage where needed
  • Leading a staff team of 5-10 people to keep them highly motivated and focused
  • Maintaining store safety, sanitation, and proper food storage standards
  • Addressing and answering customer complaints
  • Making and serving coffee, sandwiches, salads,
  • Providing friendly and prompt customer service, running a cash register
  • Paying close attention to the way products are displayed all over the day and to the cleanliness of the store
  • Serving baked goods, breads, and pastries
