Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Build sales through maximizing customer service levels, operating procedures and maintaining excellent store image
  • Maintain knowledge of products in lumber and home improvement industry
  • Manage and secure all company assets to most efficiently operate the store and maximize profitability
  • Prepare material estimates and quotes for customers and contractors
  • Ensure availability of merchandise by maintaining proper inventory levels
  • Maintain working relationships with corporate buying department and vendors
  • Manage a team of employees that perform at levels consistent with company objectives
  • Train and develop all store employees consistent with company expectations
  • Set a personal example of a professional image in accordance with company dress code, policies, behavior and attitude
  • Ensure all employees comply with all government laws and regulations and maintain a facility that provides a safe environment for customers and employees
  • Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures
  • Resolve customer complaints and queries in a pleasant and positive manner
  • Establish a positive personal and professional profile within the community
  • Assisting with register and bookkeeping

We currently operate 50+ home improvement stores spread across 13 states. Our local building supply and hardware stores range in size from small lumberyards to large 140,000+ square foot warehouse stores. The combined buying power is passed directly to our customers. From hardware, cabinets and pole barns to plywood and OSB, fencing, mulch, power tools and furniture. Our people make the difference!
