Description Pay: $19 Hours: Monday - Friday: 10am - 6:30pm Address: 21160 Drake Road, Strongsville, Ohio 44149 The Assistant Store Manager reports directly to the Store Manager. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in the daily store operations. This role requires a willingness to be hands-on with the day-to-day operations but also assist in driving the overall company strategy. You’ll need to help build and maintain relationships with managers, hourly employees, carrier partners, vendors, and various departments in the company. Most importantly, you’ll need to provide exceptional customer service. Successful assistant store managers are highly motivated to drive improvements every single day and are willing to work as a strong team with both the store manager and the other store associates. Responsibilities: Assist in maintaining a safe, neat, clean, and orderly facility. Assist in hiring, training, developing, coaching, and motivating employees. Efficiently use our operating systems and processes. Requirements High School diploma or GED plus at least 1 year experience in a warehouse or retail setting. An excellent safety record is required. You'll be on your feet much of the day and may need to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to visually examine auction items and view computer screen. Proficiency in math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. Requires experience and reasonable proficiency with computer systems. Strong problem solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership, verbal & written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills. 8 to 10-hour days between 8 am and 6:30 pm five days a week are the standard, with on-call responsibility 24/7/365. English Proficiency Our stores are often in warehouse settings and may not be climate controlled, so you will need to dress for the season. Helpful Experience: Retail management experience. Warehouse experience. Material handling. Word Processing and Spreadsheet usage. Forklift experience. Fast paced work flow. Auctions.
