Harper Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for our project at Los Angeles Trade Tech College located in Los Angeles, California.

  • Support the Superintendent in daily on-site management of commercial construction activities in compliance with LACCD standards, schedule, and budget.
  • Assist in coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and site logistics to ensure timely execution of work.
  • Monitor field activities for safety compliance, quality control, and adherence to project specifications and plans.
  • Participate in site meetings with LACCD representatives, architects, and subcontractors; maintain clear communication among all parties.
  • Help track progress against construction schedules and report delays or issues to the Superintendent and project management.
  • Assist with on-site documentation, including RFIs, field reports, daily logs, and subcontractor reports.
  • Support management of materials, equipment, and deliveries to maintain workflow and minimize disruptions.
  • Observe and enforce jobsite safety procedures in line with OSHA, project-specific safety plans, and LACCD protocols.
  • Provide technical support by interpreting construction drawings and coordinating with engineering and design teams.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as directed by the Superintendent or Project Manager to support overall project success.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of construction experience, 1 years as a Superintendent on construction projects valued at $20 million and higher
