POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Superintendent provides on-site administrative and technical management through planning, coordination, and supervision of craft employees and trade contractors to ensure the project is constructed in a safe and organized manner. This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have a strong communication and client service skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree- Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent. May substitute required education degree with related experience on a one-to-one basis
  • 4-6 years of industry experience
Responsibilities
  • All qualities/responsibilities of a Field Engineer 2, plus:
  • Supports/assists in implementation of Operation Zero and all Manhattan safety policies.
  • Participates and executes roles assigned to help create an Injury-Free Environment through own actions.
  • Assists in development and maintenance of site logistics plan, in coordination with Project team.
  • Assists in day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force.
  • Assists in coordination of site testing and inspections.
  • Assists in development/coordination/execution of Safety, Hazcom, SWPPP, QA/QC plan, etc
  • Attend and participate in project meetings, including but not limited to preconstruction, preinstallation, subcontractor, owner and safety.
  • Assist in development/communication and maintenance of project schedule.
  • Assist in the creation of daily reports and report quantities.
  • Assist project team as required.
  • Responsible for conducting themselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and exhibiting attributes matching the Way We Work.
