Description

As our newest Assistant Site Superintendent, you’ll support the Superintendent to ensure that every project is executed with precision and excellence. Under the direction of the Site Superintendent, you’ll be the eyes and ears out on the site, ensuring our team and subtrades are working to specifications and staying on schedule.
You’ll travel for work to locations throughout BC, the Yukon and occasionally the Northwest Territories. Our crews typically work 21/7 rotations, travel in and out of various locations, work 10-hour shifts on average with a daily LOA, and enjoy the comforts of home in well-maintained crew houses.
Your day-to-day includes supervising and coordinating field activities - checking in with your team leads, inspecting the progress, and reporting any issues/concerns to the Site Superintendent. You’ll participate in meetings with your team and trade partners to ensure alignment on goals for the day and tackle any outstanding items from the previous day. Updating the Superintendent throughout the day and assisting with any scheduling adjustments, daily reports or safety documentation requirements are additional responsibilities.

Is this the right role for you? Here’s how you’ll know you’ve been successful in the first 6 months:

  • Field Performance: You’re the point person reviewing site work, including subcontractor activities, and assuring workmanship meets the project quality standards and stays on schedule.
  • Safety as Priority: You promote safety on site and set an example. Everyone is adhering to our program and record keeping requirements because you’ve set the standard.
  • Scheduling: You’ve proven yourself to be organized and detail-oriented, and our Site Superintendent relies on you to schedule concrete work and testing, and schedule and supervise other disciplines.
  • Team Mentorship: You assist the Superintendent in driving the site team to work cohesively, aligning efforts toward productivity milestones and maintaining motivation throughout the project’s lifecycle.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: When issues/conflicts arise, you’re ready to step in with your quick thinking and consistently propose resolutions that works for everyone.

A little about Wildstone. We’re family-owned and operated, we take on projects in some of the most remote, challenging and exciting locations in western and northern Canada, and our goal is to always make a positive impact through community involvement where we work.
We take care of our teams with benefits that include health/dental/vision, RRSP matching, Employee and Family Assistance Programs, and an Employee Recognition and Rewards Program.
