Quigley’s Cafe is seeking a motivated and hands-on Assistant Supervisor to support the Store Manager in the daily operations of our newly refurbished café in Nenagh where customer experience and company standards meet a fresh, vibrant atmosphere. .This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is sales-driven, passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, and ready to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As Assistant Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading our team and ensuring high standards are upheld across all departments, including Coffee, Bakery, Deli, and Food-to-Go. You’ll help drive sales, maintain operational excellence, and ensure that every customer enjoys a warm and welcoming experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the team consistently does the same.
  • Uphold brand and operational standards across key departments (Coffee, Bakery, Deli, Food-to-Go).
  • Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to new and existing team members.
  • Drive sales by promoting products and maintaining strong product knowledge.
  • Monitor and help achieve daily sales targets and KPIs.
  • Maintain and enhance visual merchandising and product displays.
  • Manage queues effectively to reduce wait times and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain high standards of grooming and presentation across the team.
  • Assist with scheduling, rota creation, and ensuring adequate floor coverage.
  • Support stock management, and order processing.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and HACCP standards.
  • Lead by example and step into a supervisory role in the Store Manager’s absence.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Help foster a positive team environment through motivation and support.
  • Enforce company policies and uphold service and cleanliness standards.
