What you get to do: The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Unit Supervisor with coordinating the deployment of audio/video systems for all Entertainment related events; managing the audio/video crew and all audio/video related business. Oversees all installations and maintenance of specific show related elements and other projects as assigned. Installs theatrical elements for seasonal shows and special events Schedules technical set-up for special events. Responds to park trouble calls as required and without assistance. Assists with the creation and implementation of equipment maintenance schedules. Assists with on-site coordination of vendors. Maintains equipment inventory and purchases spare parts as necessary. Monitors and repairs to component level the theatrical elements at all show areas, attractions, facilities and special events. Maintains cleanliness of assigned work areas. Maintains a safe work environment and adheres to safety requirements; ensures staff receives all required safety training. Ensures proficient and safe utilization of tools related to the technical field and assigned work group. Trains and develops new and existing team members. Coaches, mentors, and evaluates staff; provides input for written evaluations and performance appraisals. Creates staff work schedule. Ensures excellence in customer service by responding to customer requirements and expectations. Consistently strives for customer satisfaction through effective communication, quality of output, and timely project completion. Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests Perform other duties as assigned. Occasionally assist other locations and areas in the park as needed. Other duties as assigned. What it takes to succeed: High school diploma or the equivalent required. College course work and /or degree preferred. Preferred – Associate’s degree or greater in the Theatrical Arts, vocational training or applicable industry or current SeaWorld Technician Status for a period of at least 1 year. At least 18 years of age Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving guidelines. Experience in human flight/aerial rigging and inspection of such apparatus preferred. Must be highly motivated and a self-starter. Strong leadership skills Must be proficient with the following test equipment; Digital Multi Meter, Cable tracer, clamp on meter. Must possess soldering skills. Must have intermediate programming knowledge and operational skills of theatrical lighting consoles. Must have basic knowledge of electrical theory and applied hands on experience in component level troubleshooting in the following areas: dimmers, moving lights, and electro-mechanical special effects. Must consistently strive for customer satisfaction through effective communication, quality of output, and timely project completion. Must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and technical related software. Must be able to be trained to operate a high reach manlift and forklift and work at heights of up to 90 feet. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to complete assigned projects in a timely and professional manner. Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment. Scare Squad - Enthusiastic performers, who are passionate about Halloween, to add fun and scary excitement to our award-winning Howl-O-Scream events. Vocalists - Great energy and stage presence who can demonstrate technical proficiency in a variety of styles including pop, rock, musical theatre, classical, contemporary, and a cappella vocal styling. Capacity to hear/sing harmonies is a must. Sight reading skills are not required but are preferred. Vocalists perform in multiple high-energy shows per day to connect with our guests and create memories that last a lifetime. How should I prepare for my audition? You will be asked to learn a dance combination and participate in improve and athletic stamina exercises. Costumed character auditions are based primarily on movement, non-verbal communication, and physical coordination. Please arrive early enough to stretch and warm up before the audition begins. Please wear form fitting dance attire that allows a full range of movement and tennis or jazz shoes. Please do not wear jeans.
